ANTI-FATIGUE FOUR LAYER SOLE TECHNOLOGY 

1. The ergonomically fitted lightweight OrthoLite® insole absorbs shocks and provides long-term cushioning as it compresses less than 5% over the product life. The unique open-cell structure is 95-100% breathable and creates a moisture management system that promotes a drier, healthier shoe environment. These insoles maintain all comfort and performance benefits after washing. 


2. This extra midsole is made from BASF Infinergy® expanded TPU with a low-density closed-cell technology. It combines the high elasticity, lightness and softness of foam with the resilience of rubber, providing long-term durability in a wide range of operating temperatures. It is highly resistant to abrasion and traction and has good chemical resistance. 


3. The midsole made from low-density polyurethane, is soft and flexible for extra comfort and support. With excellent long-term mechanical properties, this layer provides reliable shock absorption. 


4. The outsole comes in two options: Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) or rubber. Both options guarantee SRC anti-slip performance, as well as heat, fuel & oil and abrasion resistance. With a higher bonding strength, the lifespan of the boots is increased.

WATER-RESISTANT FULL-GRAIN OR NUBUCK LEATHER

COOLMAX® BOOT LINING – BEAT THE HEAT & BACTERIA

All KAMU® safety boots are equipped with Coolmax® liners to keep your feet and boots fresher for longer. With its wicking properties, the Coolmax® liner draws heat and moisture away so you can keep cool toes and a cool head throughout the day. 


A bonus is the anti-microbial property of Coolmax® liners. They fight unpleasant odours and provide freshness to every step.

ORTHOLITE® INSOLES – SERIOUSLY SOFT CUSHIONING

Thanks to the superior cushioning, the ORTHOLITE® footbed insoles make you feel as though your heavy load’s been lifted right off your shoulders. These ergonomically fitted insoles absorb shocks and provide dynamic as well as thermal comfort whilst being ultra-lightweight. They provide increased comfort for the areas of the foot which receive the greatest impacts: the heel and metatarsus.

The Infinergy® Midsole Technology used in all KAMU® boots is German technology at its best! It is a unique proprietary foam compound developed by BASF that makes the boot comfortable to wear - providing ultimate cushioning and shock absorption with every single strike of the foot. The biggest benefit however is that the sole springs back into its original shape immediately after impact, and, thanks to this high rebound effect, with every step your energy is returned straight back to your feet.

The science

TOP-STANDARD SLIP-RESISTANT OUTSOLE

All KAMU® work boots are tested according to the new EN-ISO 20345-2022 standards and exceed the highest SR-slip resistance requirements (formerly known as SR-C). They are tested to provide excellent slip resistance on ceramic floors with water and detergent as well as on steel floors with glycerine.


In addition, the outsole features an angled heel edge which provides a larger surface with tread helping further to prevent slipping at heel strike.
